Getting Started

Create and deploy your first AI agent in under 5 minutes using the Gnosari Build Wizard. This guide walks you through the streamlined 4-step process for building an AI agent that collects data through conversation.

Prerequisites

  • Modern web browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
  • Internet connection: Required for agent creation and deployment
  • Account (optional for testing): You can start building without an account and create one before deploying

The Build Wizard

Gnosari's Build Wizard is a conversational, AI-guided experience that helps you create an agent in 4 simple steps. The wizard is accessible at:

Step 1: Choose Your Agent Purpose

The wizard presents 12 pre-configured agent purposes organized by category:

Example: If you run a dental practice and want to automate appointment scheduling, select Booking Assistant.

Step 2: Create Your Account (or Login)

If you're already logged in, this step is automatically skipped. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to either:

Create a New Account:

  • Email address
  • Password
  • Name (optional)

Or Login if you already have an account.

Why create an account?

  • Manage multiple agents
  • Access analytics and session history
  • Update agent configuration anytime
  • Use advanced features (teams, knowledge sources, automations)

Note: You can test the wizard without an account, but you'll need one to deploy and publish your agent.

Step 3: Chat with Build Wizard AI

This is where the magic happens. Instead of filling out forms, you have a natural conversation with our Build Wizard AI assistant, which asks questions to understand your needs and automatically configures your agent.

What the Build Wizard Asks

The conversation adapts based on your chosen purpose, but typically includes:

  1. Business/Personal Context:

    • "What's your business about?"
    • "Who are your customers?"
    • "What problem are you solving?"
  2. Agent Goals:

    • "What should this agent help users with?"
    • "What questions should it answer?"
    • "What data do you want to collect?"
  3. Personality & Tone:

    • "What tone should the agent use?" (Professional, friendly, casual, etc.)
    • "Any specific personality traits?" (Helpful, concise, enthusiastic, etc.)
  4. Knowledge Sources (optional):

    • "Do you have a website with FAQs or documentation?"
    • "Any specific URLs the agent should learn from?"
  5. Data Collection (if applicable):

    • "What information do you need from users?" (Name, email, phone, etc.)
    • "What fields are required vs. optional?"

Example Conversation

Build Wizard: Hi! Let's build your Booking Assistant. First, tell me about
your business. What services do you offer?

You: We're a dental practice offering cleanings, checkups, and cosmetic
     procedures.

Build Wizard: Great! What are your office hours, and how long are typical
              appointments?

You: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Cleanings are 30 minutes, checkups
     are 45 minutes.

Build Wizard: Perfect. Should your agent collect patient information like
name, phone, and preferred appointment time?

You: Yes, and also insurance provider if they have one.

Build Wizard: Got it! What tone should the agent use?

You: Friendly and professional.

Build Wizard: Excellent! I'm creating your agent now...

Tips for a Great Conversation

  • Be specific: Instead of "help customers," say "answer questions about pricing and schedule appointments"
  • Provide examples: "Common questions are: What's your cancellation policy? Do you accept insurance?"
  • Mention constraints: "Appointments only on weekdays" or "No bookings within 24 hours"
  • Share your website: If you have FAQs or product info online, provide the URL

What Happens Behind the Scenes

As you chat, the Build Wizard AI:

  1. Extracts key information from your responses
  2. Configures agent settings (name, description, instructions)
  3. Optionally adds knowledge sources (if you provided URLs)

  5. Applies personality traits and tone preferences
  6. Creates the agent via the Gnosari API
